I think this looks great and is shippable. Thank you for doing this, @hectorsector. 💖
One possible addition, what do you think of adding a link to learning lab? It may not be what people are looking for, but just in case they are, it is what we use as our scalable training now.

Overview
Most of the resources on this repo are cheatsheets, yet they're difficult to find, contribute to, and maintain in between all the legacy content. This PR clarifies contributing guidelines and removes any content that's not currently in use. A link is provided in the README to any content that is removed, since that content is preserved in Git's history.
This PR is a follow-up from #646.
