Greetings all,
I was frustrated by the absence of an easy way to apply all the patches and get things working on my surface pro 3; so I did it myself.
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/linux-surfacepro3/
It includes the camera and battery patches for 3.19; so now pretty much everything works.
