This lets a baseview window become the source of a drag event. Why is this useful? Say you want to create a plugin that can generate MIDI. Acting as a drag source lets you drag some MIDI sequence straight into your DAW (e.g. see the screencap here: https://github.com/AlexCharlton/midi-m8/)
