Here are verious Shell Scripts I wrote to demonstrate possible usage scenarios for automation with Linux.

For testing, I recommend setting up a multi node environment with Vagrant and Oracle Virtual Box.

You can find a Vagrantfile as template to spin up your own VM environment to test these scripts.
